Tunisia OGP Progress Report - 2016

ogp

In February 2016, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) will present for public comment the progress reports for those countries who began implementing action plans in 2014. These reports cover the development and first year of implementation of the action plan of each country.

As the IRM researcher for Tunisia, I summarized my findings:

Tunisia has made progress in furthering access to information and public accountability in key target areas through a range of innovative commitments. However, there remains a need to advance a greater degree of civic participation during the development and implementation of commitments. There is also a need to include commitments that directly seek to address public sector corruption, specifically at the subnational level.

The IRM invites all interested stakeholders to make public comments on the report, using the comment function at the bottom of this page or via email at irm@opengovpartnership.org (link sends e-mail). The report is available here in English, and an Arabic version will be available shortly. Comments received will be used to prepare the final version of the report and will be published alongside it.
